The Arctic Philharmonic is a public limited company that stands out from Norway’s other professional orchestral organisations. The major difference is that we belong to an entire region, not a single city.

Our owners are the municipalities of Tromsø and Bodø, each of which has a 50 % shareholding, while the county councils of Nordland and Troms and Finnmark are contributing partners through the cultural agreement for Northern Norway.

The Arctic Philharmonic receives operating subsidies from the Ministry of Culture, municipality of Bodø, municipality of Tromsø and the county councils of Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.
