You will hear national romantic music by Halvorsen and Grieg, as well as “Barndomsminner fra Nordland”, and of course the national anthem.
The conductor will be Anna Hartmann and the soloists will be Maria Nohr (Mezzo) and Tuva Frydenlund (Soprano).
The concert is free, but you need to get a ticket beforehand in Stormen Concert Hall. You can get a ticket from the 5th of May, but no more than 4 tickets pr person.
If you have a ticket that you won’t be able to use, please give it back to the concert hall, so that someone else can use it.
If you are not in your seat by 14.00 o’clock, you might lose your seat to someone else.
As well as the concert, the concert hall will be open from 11.00-14.00 with children’s activities and a café with coffee, cakes, ice-creams and soft drinks.
Also, this year there will be a streamed 17th of May studio from Stormen Concert Hall, between 15.00-17.15. You can watch this on the concert hall’s Facebook page, via their website and on Bodø Kommune’s Facebook page. This year’s hosts are Knut Folkestad and Emilie Tverbak.
The event is a cooperation between the Arctic Philharmonic, Stormen Concert Hall, Coop Nordland and the 17th of May committee.
