The soloist for this evening’s concert is Radovan Vlatkovic, the former principle horn player of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, who will join us on a journey from Bach via Telemann to Stravinsky.
Radovan Vlatkovic is widely acclaimed as one of the best horn players in the world. He is now a professor of horn at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid.
Through a long life in music, the Croatian musician has received numerous prestigious awards, including first prize at the ARD International Competition in Munich in 1983, the first time it was awarded to a horn player for 14 years.
This evening in Bodø, he will showcase this versatility in concert with the Arctic Philharmonic’s Sinfonietta in a programme featuring Bach, Janácek, Telemann and Stravinsky.
