The Arctic Philharmonic is well-known for performing at a high international level, but did you know that they also love folk music?
At the Arctic Chamber Music Festival in June 2019 the chamber orchestra performed the concept Wood Works, which is folk music from the Nordic countries, arranged for string orchestra. This was such a success that the musicians really wanted to do it again.
Originally it was the Danish String Quartet who created and performed Wood Works, and the Arctic Philharmonic has arranged it for string orchestra.
The concert is free.
