The Arctic Philharmonic has 2 full-time permanent positions open as VIOLIN (tutti) with work-base Tromsø. Tutti violin alternates between 1st and 2nd Violin.
The Arctic Philharmonic is an expanding orchestra. Today, the group of musicians in Tromsø is a Chamber Orchestra of 20 musicians. A significant part of productions are co-productions together with the group of musicians residing in Bodø. Read more about our structure and our projects HERE.

Work language is Norwegian. The orchestra can offer some reimbursement for language lessons.
Salary: Remuneration is in accordance with CREO’s prevailing remuneration scale for Arctic Philharmonic. (Gross fee NOK 548 053,- – NOK 608 899,- (depending on seniority).

Selected candidates will be invited to audition.
Audition (by invitation): 7th and 8th of May 2020 in Tromsø Kulturhus.
– Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3,4 or 5, 1st movement with cadenza.
– Romantic violin concerto of your choice, 1st movement with cadenza (remember to announce your chosen concerto in the application).
The audition repertoire will also include prepared orchestra excerpts and chamber music (available for download here: violin_excerpts_APO_audition2020).
Candidates that reach the final round of the audition will be offered reimbursements for travel costs up to a total of NOK 2000,- on presentation of receipts.
Finalists should anticipate to play some weeks in the orchestra as a part of an extended audition (remunerated as freelance commission).
